NaBloPoMo - Day 10

Thanks to No Electronics Sunday I finally completed the transformation of my wardrobe. I have lost 20 lbs since January of this year and as exciting as the journey has been the reality is most of my wardrobe is now 3 sizes too big. So I did a real What Not To Wear purge. I took everything out of my closet and tried stuff on. I ended up putting about 20 lbs of clothes, shoes, and purses in bags for donation and filled another big bag of designer clothes that are newer and in good shape to sell at a resale shop. I just couldn’t bring myself to donate Ann Taylor and Banana Republic stuff that is just a year old with only one season of wear. I’m going to try and get some things altered but I’m not sure if taking suit pants from a size 10 to a size 4/6 is doable. I also came to the realization that although my wardrobe is less than half of what it was all of the pieces I have to wear now, and the ones I saved for next summer, all fit me and are good quality pieces. I’m just going to have to get creative with accessories and be more adventurous with my pairings. I’ve got my spending under control lately and with the holiday season coming up and my saving for an iPhone, when I feel the need to shop I’ll be looking for fun jewelry and shoes…well shoes can get out of hand…ok just jewelry.
